Detailed Timeline of Events :

September 2023: Ministry of Corporate Affairs(MCA), Government of India appoints Dr. Shyam Agarwal as Government Nominee in ICOAI Governing Council who is also a BJP leader from Rajasthan. ICMAI President informs his appointment in October 2023 Monthly Journal

October 2023: ICMAI Council passes resolution to shift its Headquarters from Kolkata to Delhi head by the then President Ashwin Dalwadi from Gujarat
  
February 2024: ICMAI calls for online electronic referrendum among its members regarding this issue. As per The Telegraph, out of eligible members, only 28 % voted on this proposal with 93 % votes in favour of the same. 

March 2024: ICMAI awaits MCA approval for shifting of its headquarters. Matter kept pending due to annoucement of Lok Sabha Elections 2024. 

September 2024:Massive patronizing and lobbying undertaken by anti-Bengal Gujarati former President of ICMAI with Ministry of Corporate Affairs IAS babus and other staff in New Delhi at the behest and advice of Rajasthan BJP leader Dr. Shyam Agarwal 

October 2024: ICMAI vide annoucement dated October 5th 2024 now invites public comments regarding shifting of HQs from Kolkata to Delhi for 30 days.Last date to raise objections November 5th 2024.
